Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH (FBB) is inviting all residents living near BER Airport to its Noise Protection Day on Thursday, June 13. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the DIALOG-FORUM, located at Mittelstraße 11 in Schönefeld.
Experts will be available throughout the day to address individual questions and discussions. Topics include the technical and legal basis of the airport’s noise protection program, the implementation of noise protection measures, and the use of BER flight routes. Applications for the BER noise protection program can be submitted until November 4, 2025. In addition to various construction companies, FBB’s noise protection team will be present all day.
The program features two expert presentations: Ralf Wagner, Head of Noise Protection and Environment, will discuss ‘Noise Protection at BER’ at 1 p.m. Dr. Kai Johannsen, Head of Immission Control, will present on ‘Flight Noise and Flight Routes at BER’ at 3 p.m. Additionally, a new and highly modern sound-insulating fan will be showcased.
Michael Halberstadt, CEO Human Resources of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH: “The steady increase in air traffic since the opening of BER emphasises the need for an open and continuous exchange with our residents. The Noise Protection Day offers a good opportunity for a comprehensive and well-founded dialogue on the topics of noise protection, flight noise and flight routes. We look forward to your participation and a lively exchange.”
The DIALOG-FORUM is conveniently located near the Schönefeld S-Bahn station. Parking is available at car park P56, and the airport company will provide exit tickets, allowing guests to use P56 free of charge.
