LMPD: Man hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after shooting in Russell neighborhood

The Louisville Metro Police Department says a man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being shot in the Russell neighborhood.LMPD was called to the 500 block of S 18th Street around 8:10 p.m. Friday about a shooting.When officers arrived at the location, they found a man who had been shot in the chest.Police said he was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.LMPD's Homicide Unit is handling the investigation due to the severity of the man's injuries.Police said there are not any suspects at this time.Anyone with information is asked to call the anonymous Crime Tip Hotline at 502-574-LMPD (5673) or use the anonymous LMPD Crime Tip Portal.
