Aidan Cairns inherited his love of pole dancing from a very special woman — his mother, Deirdre. She set up her own studio, Dee’s Barbelles, 15 years ago, in the small village of Killyman in Dungannon, Co Tyrone, and started teaching classes.

“When my mum performs,” 26-year-old Aidan says, “everyone in the room is in the palm of her hand in awe; her stage presence captures everyone.”
