Duke makes top 3 for Grimsley 4-star DE Bryce Davis
Duke's football program is a major player for one of North Carolina's top defenders.
4-star prospect Bryce Davis shared his top three schools to his X account on May 21. In addition to the Blue Devils, Davis is considering the University of Georgia and Clemson University.
The class of 2025 prospect will announce his college choice on July 20.
He is 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds.
Davis attends Grimsley High School. As a sophomore, he helped the Whirlies to an N.C. High School Athletic Association 4A West regional title. The Whirlies fell to New Bern in the 4A state championship, but the Bears' title has since been vacated.
As a sophomore, Davis was selected to the HighSchoolOT All-State Football Team as a Third Team selection. He had 85 tackles, 24 tackles for a loss, 12 sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and a blocked punt that season.
The rising senior missed the bulk of his junior season with a knee injury. He recorded 17 tackles, three sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble in just two games played. Davis is fully recovered and expecting a big senior season with the Whirlies.
