May 31-June 1: Good Moon Festival - This music festival will feature Sylvan Esso, Fleet Foxes and more at Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Friday and Saturday.
May 31: The Rocky Horror Picture Show - Watch it at The Rialto in Raleigh. Doors open at 11:30 p.m. and the show starts at 11:55 p.m. Admission is $10.
May 31: Elle King - Elle King performs hits like "Ex's and Oh's" and more at The Ritz in Raleigh.
May 31: Melanie Martinez - The singer and songwriter comes to PNC Arena.
May 31: Summerfest: Salute to John Williams - Take a trip to the legendary worlds of Oscar-winner John Williams as your North Carolina Symphony performs music from iconic film scores – including Star Wars, Harry Potter, E.T., Jurassic Park and more.
June 1: Carolina Brass Band Festival - This is an all day concert from local brass music groups at Apex Nature Park. There will also be food trucks. Admission is free.
June 1: Family Fun 4 Everyone: Sensory-Friendly Concert - This concert experience is welcoming to all families – including people with autism or other sensory sensitivities. At this one-hour, fun-filled performance, enjoy classical favorites. Come early to try out instruments at our Instrument Zoo and meet new friends! Admission starts at $10.
June 1: NC Darkness RISING: Live 7 - Block Party & Black Mental Health Concert - Darkness RISING Live is an annual music and mental health event featuring Black Broadway and local Triangle artists performing inspirational and motivational songs in support of Black mental health. There will be Black mental health providers as guest speakers, food and merchandise vendors, wellness professionals and community organizations, wellness workshops, free wellness resources and on-site therapy sign-ups and much more. Admission is free. The event is from 2 to 6 p.m. in Moore Square.
June 1: Summer Salute for Transitions LifeCare - This fun-filled evening will feature live music by The Embers with Craig Woolard, along with a live auction, island-themed buffet, drinks, games, raffle prizes and more at North Ridge Country Club on Saturday. Tickets are $100.
June 2: Raleigh Ringers - See the Raleigh Ringers’ unique interpretations of sacred, secular, and popular music, including a little bit of rock ‘n’ roll.
Get out and about
May 30-June 2: UNC Health Championship - The golf tournament at the Raleigh Country Club features family-friendly events, including a Canes Day with inflatables, activities and free admission for season ticketholders. There will be concessions from local Empire Eats restaurants, including The Pit, Gravy, Raleigh Times and Sitti, and Two Roosters Ice Cream. Proceeds go to local organizations.
May 31-June 2: Raleigh Gardens on Parade - Tour home gardens and enjoy a party and silent auction during this weekend-long event from the Raleigh Garden Club.
June 1-2: Durham Brick Convention Lego Event - This LEGO fan convention includes vendors, building areas and displays. Tickets start at $15 in advance and $18 the day of. Special guests will include artists, creators, authors, content creators, and even contestants from the popular LEGO MASTERS TV show on FOX. The event is Saturday and Sunday at the Durham Convention Center.
June 1: Bike Ride to N.C. Museum of Art - Raleigh Sister Cities is hosting a bike ride from Dix Park to the North Carolina Museum of Art. At the museum you will enjoy a docent led tour of several works of art that relate to our Sister Cities. It starts at 10 a.m. and is free to attend.
June 1: Walk for the Animals - Enjoy a day full of engaging, entertaining and educational events including pet contests, agility courses, games, and more at Duke East Campus in Durham on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The walk benefits the APS.
June 1: Boxyard RTP Birthday Bash - Boxyard RTP is turning three on Saturday with a big birthday bash including free activities like family yoga, a bubble house, balloon twister, a jewelry workshop with Gold Clover Co., a mini market, music from DJ Baptiste and more. In addition to birthday celebrations, the first 100 guests will receive a gift card to one of Boxyard’s vendors.
June 2: 2nd Annual Bad Prom for a Good Cause - Get out your bad (neon) prom outfits and support the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention with a fun night of dancing, eating and drinking on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Botanical Lounge in downtown Raleigh. Admission is $30 per person. The event will include a candy bar, cash bar, photo booth, a DJ and a band, the crowning of a prom king and queen, raffle tickets included with your ticket purchase for prizes and more. This is a 21+ event.
June 2: Speed Puzzling Mini Tournament - Do you love jigsaw puzzles? Try your hand at speed puzzling during this event at Boxyard RTP from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. This event will be outdoors under a covered area, so dress for the weather.
June 2: Rescues & Rainbows Pet Adoption & PRIDE Event - Join in on the rooftop at The Velvet Hippo Bar & Lounge and enjoy a tasty beverage for a good cause. They'll be serving cocktails benefiting HOPE Animal Rescue and the LGBTQ Center of Durham during this afternoon pet adoption event in honor of National Foster a Pet Month and National PRIDE Month on Sunday afternoon from 1 to 3 p.m.
Foodie Fun and Shopping
May 31: Fitness & Food Trucks: Yoga Night - Food trucks, a free 1-hour instructor led fitness session, live music and a local vendors market are part of the fun at this event at Moore Square from 5 to 9 p.m. Admission is free.
June 1: Raleigh International Food Festival - The event is at City Plaza from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with desserts, beer, wine, vendors and food from over 50 countries. Admission is free.
June 1: Raleigh Foodie Fare - This monthly foodie and art market series at Raleigh Iron Works includes a food truck rodeo, food vendors, art vendors, drinks, live music and more.
June 1: The Market at NCMA - Browse the galleries, enjoy the museum park, and shop local!
June 1: Rumors Durham 5th Anniversary Block Party - Rumors Durham is turning 5 on June 1. They are having a block party on the side of the building with multiple vendors who sell vintage clothing, handmade jewelry and art.
June 2: World Hunger Day Durham - This event aims to raise awareness of food insecurity experienced in the community. It will feature food trucks, giveaways, free snacks, bounce house and more at Durham Central Park on Sunday form 3 to 6 p.m. Admission is free.
