Sheridan police officers found an adult woman who had died from an apparent gunshot wound at the 3400 block of West Dill Road early on Thursday morning.
“This is an isolated incident involving a domestic violence situation. There is no immediate threat to the community and police have identified a suspect,” Sheridan Police said in a post on X.
That area is a residential neighborhood to the east of Marston Lake. Additional details were not available.
An active investigation is underway and more information will be provided as it becomes available, according to the Sheridan Police.
