Helen Dixon has been replaced by Des and Dale – does this mean the DPC will move faster?

New faces of the Data Protection Commission promise to finish up inquiries which are up to six years in the system

For the last 10 years, the name of Helen Dixon has been synonymous with protecting personal online data in Ireland. Her second five-year term as data protection commissioner ended on February 19, and next day she was replaced.

Not by one person, though, but by two – Des Hogan and Dale Sunderland.
