LA Pride Hosts ‘Pride is Universal’ at Universal Studios Hollywood

On Saturday, June 15, Universal Studios Hollywood becomes the vibrant venue for ‘Pride is Universal,’ a unique theme park experience suitable for all ages. The event begins with general admission to the theme park from 4:00 p.m., followed by exclusive extended hours from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Attendees will enjoy thrill rides, attractions, and after-hours features like shorter lines, dining, retail, live DJs, dance areas, Universal character meet and greets, photo ops, cash bars, and drag shows. A VIP option offers earlier park access at 2:00 p.m., Universal Express attraction passes, premium main stage views, and access to the LA Pride VIP Lounge.

Universal Studios Hollywood marks the 60th anniversary of its world-famous Studio Tour with a special event, inviting guests to step off the tram and onto a historic film set. The celebration includes immersive photo opportunities, nostalgic additions, updates to the Studio Tour, and retro-themed food, drink, and merchandise throughout the park.

The main stage will spotlight talent such as DJ Brynn Taylor and stars from RuPaul’s Drag Race, including Morgan McMichaels, Kornbread Jetè, Alexis Mateo, and All Stars S1 winner Chad Michaels.

This year introduces the ‘Pride Prom,’ a safe and inclusive event for those who missed their own prom. Running from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at Universal Plaza, the prom features live DJs, themed decor, photo ops, and a host with live performances.

Aligned with Father’s Day weekend, the event includes an early hours Kids Club from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., featuring live music, park characters, and family-friendly activities.

Pride is Universal is open to all ages, with photo ID required for cash bar access. Tickets are available for $145, $10 less than the Front Gate price. A portion of the ticket sales supports Christopher Street West (CSW) community programs.
