Storms exit D.C. region after spawning multiple warnings

Damage reports include scattered instances of downed trees and wires. One warning was issued for a possible tornado.

9:40 p.m. — Storms exit the D.C. region after spawning multiple warnings

An intense line of storms that came together earlier this evening just west of D.C. and Baltimore, spawning multiple severe thunderstorm warnings and one tornado warning as it tracked east through the Interstate-95 corridor, is now moving into and east of the Chesapeake Bay.
