TAP Air Portugal, in collaboration with the Portuguese government, is set to execute a dedicated humanitarian flight using a cargo-only Airbus A330-900 neo. This special flight will transport over 11 tons of aid, gathered in Portugal, to assist the flood victims in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The crew comprises two pilots and two cabin crew members, specially selected for this mission.
Departing from Lisbon at 10:10 a.m. local time on Tuesday, the flight will head to São Paulo, carrying essential supplies including diapers, clothing, and toiletries in 1195 boxes totaling 11,317 kilos and 100 cubic meters in volume.
Through this initiative, TAP Air Portugal extends its support and sympathy, which has been evident from the beginning, to those impacted by the disaster. Moreover, the airline continues to strengthen its ties with Brazil, maintaining its status as the most Brazilian of European airlines with 96 weekly flights connecting directly to 11 Brazilian capitals.
The flight is scheduled to arrive in São Paulo at 5:00 p.m. local time.
