The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation is participating in the Riyadh Travel Fair (RTF) 2024, held from May 27th to 29th. Alongside 17 participants representing nine companies, Visit Maldives is showcasing the Maldives as a premier travel destination in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. MMPRC’s goal at the fair is to strengthen the Sunny Side of Life’s presence in the KSA market, drive growth in tourist arrivals, and promote various tourism segments, particularly targeting affluent Middle Eastern travelers.
The Riyadh Travel Fair is a significant annual event in the Saudi capital, attracting leading travel and tourism companies from Saudi Arabia, the GCC, and international markets. It serves as a hub for introducing tourist products, services, and investments from the world’s foremost tourist companies. The event gathers corporate travel decision-makers, investors, tour operators, travel agents representing VIP clients, and other industry professionals, providing a valuable networking platform.
At the Maldives stand, visitors can experience the breathtaking Sunny Side of Life through a carefully curated display that highlights the diverse segments of Maldivian tourism. This includes luxury travel, family holidays, adventure trips, and cultural experiences. The vibrant stand features unique experiences such as a social media contest, special giveaways, a Dhivehi Calligraphy Corner, and Maldivian gastronomy samples, offering visitors a taste of Maldivian culture and cuisine.
Visit Maldives aims to promote the Maldives as the World’s Leading Destination by showcasing its unique products, experiences, and the diverse segments of the Sunny Side of Life. The fair allows MMPRC and its industry partners to market their tourism products, including resorts, guesthouses, liveaboards, and hotels, along with the unique services and experiences available in the Maldives. RTF 2024 provides an excellent platform for sharing the latest travel tips and information with the travel trade and travelers from the Middle East and beyond, facilitating new business connections and collaborations.
Currently ranked 21st in market arrivals to the Maldives, Saudi Arabia remains a key focus for MMPRC’s marketing strategies. These strategies include joint-marketing campaigns, informative webinars, participation in major fairs and exhibitions, and hosting roadshows and familiarization trips to increase the Maldives’ reach, bookings, and arrivals from the region.
