Southern Indiana is cleaning up from Sunday's storms. Clark County Emergency Management says they responded to at least 40 weather-related calls. Charlestown experienced the brunt of the damage in Clark County.Downtown, they had downed trees, snapped power poles, and downed power lines.Mayor Treva Hodges says crews worked Sunday and Monday to get things cleaned up quickly. "We got up and cut down all of the branches that had affected the gazebo area," she said. Snapped power poles have been replaced and power has since been restored. Along residential streets, neighbors also dealt with downed trees, such as Nathan Fouts. A large tree fell next to his home, barely missing it."If it had been, you know, a couple feet to the other side, it would've crushed the corner," he said.The tree caused minor damage to his roof, deck, and shed.Hodges says no one was injured. She said two homes had a tree fall on top of them.All city streets are now back open.
