The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) is excited to collaborate with the BestCities Global Alliance to present the Association Impact Masterclass in Dublin from January 26-28, 2025. This event is an integral part of ICCA’s educational initiatives designed to strengthen association leaders by enhancing their skills in creating, executing, and evaluating impactful activities that promote social, economic, and environmental progress.

“The Association Impact Masterclass has proven to be an incredibly valuable programme, providing instruction for associations seeking knowledge and structure on how to define and build their legacy,” said Senthil Gopinath, CEO of ICCA. “As a vibrant global capital, Dublin is a wonderful destination for the next Masterclass. ICCA is pleased to continue our work with BestCities Global Alliance, #Meet4Impact and GainingEdge to help guide associations on this important journey.”

The upcoming Dublin session is proudly supported and hosted in collaboration with BestCities Global Alliance, a prominent network committed to advancing the meetings industry through cooperative efforts and innovative practices. Additionally, BESarawak, a 2024 Seed Fund Contributor, previously hosted a similar event in Sarawak in April.

“We are thrilled to announce that we are hosting the Association Impact Masterclass in partnership with ICCA,” said Loren Christie, Managing Director, BestCities Global Alliance. “Through our association community — which is part of the BestCities Global Alliance Madrid Challenge — we learned of a need for education around impact-building. The ICCA Association Impact Masterclass will equip participants with all of the knowledge and expertise needed to develop and build a lasting impact that benefits associations and communities, and ultimately raises standards for the entire meetings industry.”

The Masterclass is a joint creation by ICCA, #Meet4Impact, and GainingEdge, and is tailored to complement the ICCASkills certification program. It aims to provide participants with the necessary tools to build effective partnerships, formulate powerful mission statements, and establish robust impact measurement techniques for sustainable and transformative initiatives.

The program will include expert-led workshops, panel discussions, and interactive sessions that will delve into networking opportunities, showcase successful case studies, and focus on skill enhancement. Key learning outcomes of the course include:

Associations hold a vital role on the global stage, and adopting strategies focused on impact helps them better support their member communities and actively contribute to broader social, economic, and environmental advancements.
