    BBC has recently unveiled a tantalizing teaser for its eagerly awaited series, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, based on Holly Jackson's beloved book series. Starring rising talent Emma Myers—known for her role in Netflix's Wednesday—as the spirited protagonist Pippa (fondly called Pip), the show promises gripping intrigue. Here's everything to know about this show, which is scheduled to debut on BBC Three on July 1.

    'Pippa is coming!': Netizens expressed excitement at the teaser

    On Saturday, BBC shared the teaser of the forthcoming series which sent fans of the novel into a frenzy. Along with the clip, the caption read: "Clear your calendar, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder is coming 🤫, (sic)." Showing excitement, a user on X/Twitter commented, "PIPPA IS COMING, (sic)." Backed by Moonage Pictures in collaboration with ZDFneo and Netflix, the six-part series will premiere in the UK and Ireland before its global release on Netflix later this year.

    Storyline

    Plot of 'A Good Girl's Guide to Murder'

    In this young adult mystery crime drama, we delve into the investigation led by 17-year-old true crime enthusiast Pippa Fitz-Amobi. Set in the fictional town of Little Kilton, Pip, a high school student, embarks on a mission to unravel a five-year-old murder-suicide case. Her goal? To clear the name of Salil "Sal" Singh, the accused, and expose the true culprit behind the tragic demise of popular student Andrea "Andie" Bell.

    Meet the cast of this murder mystery series

    Known for her role in Family Switch and Wednesday, Myers will portray Pip as she delves into a five-year-old murder case that forms the crux of this gripping narrative. Joining Myers in the lead cast is Zain Iqbal (in his debut role) as Ravi Singh, Sal's brother. Other notable cast members include Anna Maxwell Martin, Gary Beadle, Mathew Baynton, India Lillie Davies, Rahul Pattni, Henry Ashton, and Mitu Panicucci.

    BBC executives expressed excitement over casting choices

    Fiona Campbell, the Controller of Youth Audience at BBC iPlayer and BBC Three, shared her enthusiasm about the casting decisions and praised Myers and Iqbal for their perfect embodiment of their respective characters. Campbell stated: "In Emma and Zain we've found two actors who embody the characters so perfectly it will feel as though they've stepped straight from the pages of Holly's books onto our screens." The show will also stream on Netflix in the second half of 2024.
