As the 2023-24 high school sports calendar winds down, the Colorado High School Activities Association released a series of all-state teams for spring sports in the past week.

In addition to all-state track and field teams, featured in the high school sports weekly wrap-up in this past Saturday’s Greeley Tribune, CHSAA also has announced girls golf, boys lacrosse, boys volleyball, girls tennis and boys swimming and diving all-state teams.

Here’s a look at local athletes that earned spots on the teams:

Boys swimming and diving

Windsor senior Jake Eccleston was named the Class 4A co-swimmer of the year, along with Evergreen junior Duncan Salmen and Silver Creek junior James Story.

Earlier this month at the state meet, Eccleston won his third consecutive 100-yard breaststroke and 200 individual medley state titles.

Eccleston was also named to the 4A all-state first team.

Eccleston’s sophomore teammate Elias Everitt (100 backstroke) earned a 4A honorable mention, as did Wizards senior diver Anthony Mascarenas and Windsor senior Keegan Nichols (100 butterfly).

The Wizards were the 4A state runner-up behind Silver Creek.

Greeley West junior Ian Spooner (100 butterfly and 200 freestyle) earned a 5A honorable mention.

Girls golf

Windsor junior Macy Kleve was a girls golf 4A first-team selection after tying for second at the state tournament a week ago.

Boys lacrosse

Resurrection Christian and Windsor each had boys lacrosse players earn 4A all-state honors after those players led their teams into the state tournament this spring.

Resurrection Christian freshman attacker Jacob Adams earned second-team honors, as did Cougars junior midfielder Zander Adfield.

Windsor junior defenseman Gavin Bishop and Wizards junior attacker Hayden Williamson earned 4A honorable mentions.

Boys volleyball

Severance junior Gabe Schneekloth, Fort Lupton senior Kaidyn Taylor and Greeley Central senior Connor Wilson were boys volleyball all-state honorable mentions.

Boys volleyball features just one classification.

Girls tennis

Windsor sophomore Zaylee Rose (No. 2 singles) and Severance senior Erin Crownhart (No. 3 singles) earned 4A girls tennis second-team honors after placing second in their state tournament brackets earlier this month.
