Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed lower in the Monday's session.

Sikko Industries Ltd.(up 7.54%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 4.17%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(up 3.64%), National Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.70%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.38%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.27%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 0.79%), Krishana Phoschem Ltd.(up 0.30%) and Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(up 0.22%) stood among the top gainers.

Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 2.90%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd.(down 2.78%), Bohra Industries Ltd.(down 1.85%), Rama Phosphates Ltd.(down 1.37%), Agro Phos India Ltd.(down 1.34%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.98%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(down 0.93%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(down 0.90%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.58%) and Coromandel International Ltd.(down 0.56%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 24.65 points down at 22932.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 19.89 points at 75390.5.

Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 3.23%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.62%), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.11%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 1.1%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 1.09%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 0.86%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 0.72%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.7%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 0.69%) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 0.66%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 2.84%), Wipro Ltd.(down 2.42%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 2.07%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.98%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.82%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.8%), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.42%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.39%), Coal India Ltd.(down 1.31%) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.19%) closed in the red.
