How to watch the Timberwolves vs Mavs Game 3 live stream

The West finals shift to Dallas tonight, as the Mavericks host the Minnesota Timberwolves for Game 3.

The game starts at 8:00 p.m. ET and will be televised on TNT. However, if you’re looking for ways to stream the NBA playoffs without cable, we have a number of different options for watching the Timberwolves vs Mavs online.

If you want a free-but-short-term option, you can head to the very next section. If you want the cheapest way to watch a live stream of every remaining NBA playoff game, then Sling TV is the way to go.

With the “Sling Orange+Blue” channel package, you can watch a live stream of ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3 (which simulcasts ABC games) and TNT. It’s normally $55 per month, but it’s currently on sale for just $30 for your first month.

That’ll cover you for every single game of the playoffs, but if you’re only interested in watching this game or this series–which is entirely on TNT–then you only need the “Sling Blue” channel package, which is only $15 for your first month.

You can watch a live stream of ABC (live in most markets), ESPN, ESPN2 and TNT on YouTube TV (“Base Plan”) or DirecTV Stream (“Entertainment” channel package or above). These are much more expensive than Sling in the long-term, but they both come with a five-day free trial.

As such, you can watch a live stream of this game and then cancel your subscription before having to pay anything. If you stagger your free trials, you could potentially use both streaming services to get you through this entire series, which goes through June 3 at the latest.

Watch the Timberwolves vs Mavs Game 3 Live Stream on Max

You can watch every TNT game–which is the entirety of the West finals–on the Max streaming service with the B/R Sports add-on. Though it doesn’t have a free trial, a subscription to Max is only $10 per month, while the B/R Sports add-on is currently included at no extra cost (it will eventually be an extra $10 per month).

That makes Max the cheapest way to watch this game without counting free trials. Moreover, if you don’t mind signing up for two different streaming services, you can combine Max with Sling TV (“Sling Orange” channel plan; $15 for your first month) to watch every game of the playoffs for just $25 total.

NordVPN

A virtual private network (VPN) hides your IP address/location and connects you to a digital server in a different country of your choosing. This makes it look like–online, at least–you’re actually in that country, allowing you to access content that would otherwise be location-restricted.

As such, you can use a VPN–we recommend NordVPN, which is at the top of our list of the best VPN services–to connect to one of the aforementioned streaming services and watch a live stream of the game from nearly anywhere in the world.
