BRISTOL – Terry F. Simpson, 82, formerly of Thomaston, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Countryside Manor in Bristol. He was the husband of the late Linda (LaFountain) Simpson.
Terry was born April 6, 1942 in Waterbury, son of the late Roger and Doris (Day) Simpson. Raised in Thomaston, he attended local schools. He had been employed by the State of Connecticut, working for the highway department for many years; he also worked as a security guard at the Northwest Connecticut Community College in Winsted.
He was a former member of the Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department, and was a licensed hands on healing and therapeutic touch reflexologist.
He is survived by his children, Terry R. Simpson, Laura Seckington, Joseph Simpson, Dorel Simpson and Crystal Doyle; two brothers, Henry Simpson and Thomas Simpson; two sisters, Lynn Cahill and Debra Sanford; two stepdaughters, Tammy LaFountain and Traci Bonassar; two grandchildren, Shaun Seckington and Tina Seckington; two great-grandchildren, Sadie Seckington and Ralph Ward McLellan; three stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a great-grandson, Dustyn Griffin and two sisters, Karen Feero and Shirley Jagela.
A graveside service will be on Saturday, June 22, at 11 a.m. at the Hillside Cemetery in Thomaston.
