Samsung's display division has been teasing us with concept and prototype tablets and phones with slidable and rollable displays for a long time, and one of those displays could soon be seen on a retail product.
Korean media is reporting that Lenovo is working on a tablet that will sport a slideable display developed by Samsung. The tablet is said to feature a 13-inch standard display that can slide out and stretch to 17 inches.
According to industry analyst Ross Young, this device will launch sometime in the second quarter (the period from April to June) next year. It is reportedly being developed as a tablet and laptop hybrid, and it may support stylus input like Samsung's regular tablets and flagship phones.
