According to Jacqueline Saguin, a commerce editor at the Good Housekeeping Institute, a holiday event like Memorial Day weekend is the prime time to find discounts on big-ticket items like mattresses, furniture and tech.
"Often associated with the 'unofficial' start of summer, Memorial Day means huge discounts on the season's outdoor essentials for your patio space," Saguin says. "Look to retailers like Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot, Wayfair (and the list goes on) for the best deals. Don't sweat the small stuff, either.
