Two people died in a shooting near the 110 Freeway in San Pedro on Thursday, May 23, authorities said.
Around 4 p.m., the victims were shot on the street, near the intersection of Santa Cruz and Meyler streets, according to Los Angeles Police Officer Tony Im. Officers arrived to find one person suffering from a gunshot wound who was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second victim was located at a hospital and later died from their injuries.
Information on the victims was not immediately available.
Authorities were searching for the shooter Thursday evening, though no description of the person was available.
