Classes were canceled for Fern Creek high schoolers on Friday. On Friday morning, Fern Creek High School's principal, Rebecca Nicolas, sent an email to families that classes had been cancelled. According to the email, a water main break left the school with no running water or working bathrooms. All walkers, car riders and bus riders who had not been picked up were instructed to go home. Bus riders who were on their way to the school were told they'd arrive and stay at the school until after the JCPS 9:40 a.m. bus run. Buses would then pick the students up and return them home, the email said. Graduation practice is still scheduled to happen for graduating Fern Creek seniors.
