Exclusive – COTT: JioCinema top OTT platform in Wk 20’24, secures 118.44mn viewers; IPL24, Shaitaan top titles this week

With 118.44 million unique viewers, translating to a reach of 23.50%, JioCinema was the top platform in week twenty of 2024 (COTT Week: 11th May ’24–17th May 24), as reported by Chrome OTT.

During week 20 of 2024, Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) on JioCinema was the top title, with 98.88 million unique viewers. Notably, IPL 2024 also claimed the top spot among top-binged titles, with 35.60 million unique viewers.

During this week, horror-thriller film Shaitaan, streaming on Netflix, emerged as the top movie, with 1.97 million unique viewers.

Top 3 OTT platforms in week 20’24

During week 20 of 2024, JioCinema, Disney+ Hotstar, and Netflix emerged as the top three OTT platforms in India. JioCinema led the pack with a reach of 23.50%, equivalent to 118.44 million unique viewers.

Disney+ Hotstar secured the second spot on this list with 22.93 million unique viewers and a reach of 4.55%. Securing the third position, Netflix achieved a reach of 4.31%, corresponding to 21.72 million unique viewers.

During the twentieth week of the year, IPL 2024 on JioCinema claimed the top spot, with a reach of 19.62%, which translates into 98.88 million unique viewers.

Following IPL’s lead, war room drama Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond on JioCinema secured the second place with a reach of 0.59%, equivalent to 2.96 million unique viewers.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, streaming on Netflix, secured the third spot, garnering 2.90 million unique viewers with a reach of 0.58%.

IPL 2024, Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond and Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar were also the most-binged titles this week. IPL 2024 on JioCinema secured the top spot, reaching 7.06%, which translates into 35.60 million unique viewers.

Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond on JioCinema secured the second place with a reach of 0.32%, equivalent to 1.63 million unique viewers.

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar on Netflix, secured the third spot, garnering 0.29 million unique viewers with a reach of 1.45%.

During week 20 of 2024, horror-thriller film Shaitaan streaming on Netflix, emerged as the leading movie with 1.97 million unique viewers, resulting in a reach of 0.39%.

Political action thriller Article 370 streaming on Netflix secured the second position with 1.81 million unique viewers, resulting in a reach of 0.36%.

Comedy-drama film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke streaming on JioCinema achieved a reach of 0.36%, engaging 1.79 million unique viewers.
