Courtyard by Marriott Pune Chakan Team Embraces Diversity with Memorable Visit to Special Friends at Navkshitiz

Courtyard by Marriott Pune Chakan embarked on a meaningful journey of empathy and connection by visiting Navkshitiz (New Horizon), a center dedicated to nurturing individuals with unique abilities and vibrant spirits who enrich our society.

Armed with groceries and essential supplies, the team from CY Pune Chakan was eager to assist and immerse themselves in the daily routines of these remarkable people. The center welcomed them warmly, introducing them to a community of about 45 individuals, ranging in age from 21 to 56 years.

The team from CY Pune Chakan quickly recognized that the health and happiness of these individuals were paramount. Their days began with nature walks, exercise, and gym sessions to maintain fitness and health. They also engaged in crafting beautiful items like paper bags, scented candles, and chocolates for sale, which provided them with a sense of normalcy and financial independence. Yet, their lives weren’t solely focused on work; evenings were joyously spent playing music, dancing, and enjoying cricket matches. Monthly outings for dining or shopping added to their sense of fulfillment and pride in their community.

One particularly poignant experience for the team was observing the mutual support and kindness among the center’s residents, despite their own challenges. As the visit concluded, they invited the team to join in their dance, creating a moment filled with laughter and joy, leaving the team with lasting, heartfelt memories.

Reflecting on their visit, the CY Pune Chakan team realized the profound impact of inclusion and acceptance.
