ANSWERS BACK TO YOU. NOW YOUR WLKY WEATHER WITH METEOROLOGIST DANIEL JOHNSON. WELL, WE’VE BEEN STUCK IN A BIT OF A STORMY PATTERN THE PAST FEW DAYS. VERY SUMMER LIKE WEATHER, WARM, MUGGY AND THESE POP UP STORMS DEVELOPING. SO WE ARE EXPECTING A FEW STORMS THIS EVENING UP UNTIL ABOUT 8 OR 9:00. EVEN HERE IN THE METRO, ALTHOUGH THE BEST CHANCE FOR THE STORMS WILL BE SOUTH OF LOUISVILLE. AND THE MAIN CONCERN WITH SOME OF THESE STORMS THIS EVENING WILL BE STRONG WINDS, HAIL, MAYBE SOME FLASH FLOODING. IF THESE STORMS MOVE QUITE SLOWLY AND SOME OF THEM ARE SLOW MOVERS. SO WE’RE GOING TO WATCH THAT CLOSELY. SO JUST THE NEXT FEW HOURS WE HAVE SOME STORMS IN THE FORECAST. WE’RE NOT EXPECTING WIDESPREAD SEVERE WEATHER. THE TORNADO THREAT IS NEARLY NONEXISTENT. SO NO CONCERNS WITH THAT. HERE IS A LIVE LOOK OUTSIDE. CLOUDY SKIES HERE IN LOUISVILLE. IT IS QUIET FOR NOW, ALTHOUGH A COUPLE OF SHOWERS ARE NEARBY. 76 THE CURRENT TEMPERATURE, THE HUMIDITY THOUGH, IS HIGH. THE DEW POINT 65. ANY TIME IT GETS ABOVE 60 IT STARTS TO FEEL A BIT ON THE MUGGY SIDE. SO DEFINITELY FEELING LIKE SUMMER TEMPERATURES IN THE MID AND UPPER 70 ACROSS THE ENTIRE VIEWING AREA. A LITTLE BIT COOLER TO THE SOUTH AND THAT’S WHERE MOST OF THE RAIN IS. METV. SO WE ARE MOSTLY QUIET, ALTHOUGH LOOK AT THIS SOUTHERN JEFFERSON COUNTY NOW STARTING TO SEE SOME SHOWERS DEVELOPING OVER TOWARD FAIRDALE AND THEN SOUTH INTO BULLITT COUNTY AS WELL. A FEW SHOWERS UP INTO SOUTHERN INDIANA. PAOLI ENGLISH CORYDON DEALING WITH A COUPLE OF SHOWERS HERE. NOTHING SEVERE. AS WE TRAVEL SOUTH TOWARD THE PARKWAYS, E-TOWN DEALING WITH SOME HEFTY RAIN. LITCHFIELD AS WELL OVER TOWARD GREENE COUNTY AND OVER INTO TAYLOR COUNTY AS WELL. SOME LOUD THUNDER AND A LOT OF LIGHTNING GOING ON THERE. SOME HEAVY RAIN AGAIN, NOTHING SEVERE. THE REASON FOR THIS WE HAVE A FRONT NEARLY ON TOP OF US, AND THE STORMS ARE KIND OF BUBBLING UP ALONG THAT FRONT. BUT AS WE LOOK TO THE WEST, MUCH QUIETER WEATHER AND THAT WILL BE HEADING OUR DIRECTION LATE TONIGHT AND MOST OF TOMORROW. SO THE NEXT FEW HOURS WE GOT TO GET RID OF THESE STORMS. THEN WE’RE QUIET AS WE HEAD THROUGH. TONIGHT, 67 FOR THE LOW. SO HERE’S FUTURECAST. NOTICE THE STORMS KIND OF OVER SPREADING THE GENERAL VIEWING AREA, THE METRO AREA UP UNTIL ABOUT EIGHT 9:10 P.M. THEN THESE STORMS RACE OFF TO THE EAST. IT’S QUIET TONIGHT, JUST LIKE IT WAS QUIET LAST NIGHT FOR MOST OF THE NIGHT, WE’RE GOING TO WAKE UP TO SOME SUNSHINE ON FRIDAY AND LOOK AT MOST OF THE DAY TOMORROW. NOT BAD RIGHT? A MIX OF CLOUDS AND SUN. IT’S GOING TO BE WARM AND MUGGY THOUGH. WE’RE TALKING MID 80S FOR THOSE AFTERNOON HIGHS. THEN WE’RE GOING TO WATCH FOR SOME STORMS LATE IN THE DAY. SO HERE’S WHAT WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT TOMORROW. MOST OF THE DAY QUIET, WARM AND MUGGY. WE ARE GOING TO ISSUE A SEVERE ALERT. BUT LATE TOMORROW AFTER SUNSET. THAT’S WHEN THAT SEVERE ALERT GOES INTO EFFECT AS ANOTHER ROUND OF STRONG STORMS WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE. HERE’S FUTURECAST TOMORROW, STARTING WITH SUNSHINE, SOME PUFFY CUMULUS CLOUDS BUBBLING UP INTO THE AFTERNOON, AND THEN THIS IS WHAT’S POSSIBLE TOMORROW AFTER SUNSET, A LINE OF STORMS THAT COULD BE PACKING A PUNCH. GUSTY WINDS AS WE ROLL THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT. THEN WE QUIET DOWN TO KICK OFF YOUR WEEKEND ON SATURDAY, SUNDAY IS REALLY THE THE DAY OF INTEREST. WE’VE ALWAYS BEEN LOOKING AT ANOTHER SEVERE ALERT DAY. LATE DAY STORMS LIKELY THOSE REALLY COULD HAVE ALL HAZARDS IN TERMS OF STRONG, GUSTY WINDS, EVEN SOME HAIL AND PERHAPS SOME TORNADOES. ON SUNDAY WE’LL WATCH IT AND THINGS QUIET DOWN MEMORIAL DAY ITSELF AND THROUGH ALL OF NEXT WEEK. IS THERE SOME DRY TIME IN THE WEEKEND? YEAH, NOT A COMPLETE WASHOUT EVEN SUNDAY. THE SEVERE ALERT DAY WILL HA
