There is a new face on the District 12 bench of the Weld District Court.

Gov. Jared Polis appointed Audrey A. Galloway to preside over the division last week, filling the seat left vacant by Meghan Saleebey’s retirement April 27, according to a release from Polis’ office.

Saleebey held the position since September 2019, serving under five years in the role.

Galloway has spent the past four-plus years as Weld County magistrate in Division 14, where she resided over juvenile delinquency cases. From 2008-14, she was deputy district attorney for the Weld County District Attorney’s Office, before spending five years in private practice.
