As the IPL season heats up with intense rivalries, Taco Bell is taking an approach to foster harmony among fans. The Quick Service Restaurant Chain (QSR), known for its Live Mas philosophy, has launched the #TruceOverTacos campaign.
Taco Bell announces the #TruceOverTacos activity on its Twitter and Instagram handles. Fans participate by replying to the trigger tweet or Instagram post using the hashtag #TruceOverTacos to declare their truce.

Taco Bell then pairs rival fans and privately notifies them that they’ve been DM’d their half of the discount code. During the match (between 7:30 PM and 10:30 PM), engaged users receive a DM with their half of the code.
They’re encouraged to reach out to their rival to complete the code exchange. The result? Two peaceful rivals get discounted treats, regardless of who’s winning on the field.
Taco Bell also collaborates with IPL Team Fan Pages to spread the #TruceOverTacos message.
