Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 7.07 crore), RattanIndia Power (number of shares traded: 2.19 crore), Indian Railway Fin(number of shares traded: 1.65 crore), Maha Corp Ltd(number of shares traded: 0.83 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 0.82 crore), NCL Research(number of shares traded: 0.69 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 0.54 crore), Rail Vikas Nigam(number of shares traded: 0.53 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 0.50 crore) and Alstone Textiles(number of shares traded: 0.42 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:39AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 92.41 points up at 22690.2, while BSE Sensex was up 346.92 points at 74567.98 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Axis Bank Ltd.(up 2.41 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 2.08 per cent), State Bank of India(up 1.68 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 1.67 per cent) and Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.61 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 3.79 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 3.54 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.77 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 1.24 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.11 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
