Union Ministry of Cooperation Secretary Ashish Bhutani recently chaired the meeting of the Cooperative Education Fund committee to discuss and consider various proposals.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Secretary Pankaj Bansal, CRCS Anand Kumar Jha, Kapil Meena, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi, Vamnicom Director Hema Yadav, NCEL MD Mukesh Dave, NCUI’s Sandhya Kapoor, Ritesh Dey and others.
One of the participants informed the Indian Cooperative that it was decided in the meeting to form a scrutinization committee for reviewing the proposals submitted by several multi state cooperative societies.
It bears recalling that earlier the main custodian of the cooperative education fund was the apex body of cooperatives-NCUI but after the formation of a new ministry of cooperation, the MSCS act was amended to make MoC the custodian of the co-op education fund.
