    What's the story

A wedding ceremony in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur district took a violent turn after the groom publicly kissed his bride during the varmala ceremony on Monday. This unexpected display of affection sparked outrage among the bride's family, leading to a heated argument that quickly escalated into a physical altercation. The bride's family, armed with sticks, climbed onto the stage and attacked members of the groom's family.

According to NDTV, the bride's father had arranged for his two daughters to be married on the same day. The first wedding concluded peacefully, but the second ceremony spiraled into chaos following the groom's kiss. While the bride's family alleges that the groom forcibly kissed her on stage, he maintains it was at her insistence. The clash resulted in six people getting injured, including the bride's father.
