T’way Air, a low-cost carrier from Seoul, South Korea, officially launched its first European route between Zagreb and Seoul (Incheon) on May 16th. This new flight aims to boost convenience for both tourists and business travelers in Croatia and Korea, enhancing connectivity and travel options between the two destinations.

The inauguration event celebrating this milestone for T’way Air took place at the Sheraton Zagreb Hotel on May 17th. The event was attended by Sung-Hun Na, Vice Chairman of T’way Air; Hong-Geun Jeong, CEO of T’way Air; Damir Kušen, Croatian Ambassador to Korea; and Joongkeun Oh, Minister-Counselor of the Korean Embassy in Croatia, among other distinguished guests.

The Zagreb to Seoul flight operates three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The flight departs Zagreb International Airport at 9:25 PM, arriving at Seoul Incheon International Airport the next day at 3:25 PM local time, with a flight duration of approximately 11 hours.

The return flight leaves Seoul (Incheon) at 11:05 AM, with a stop for refueling at Manas International Airport in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, from 3:50 PM to 4:50 PM, before arriving in Zagreb at 7:55 PM. The total travel time, including the refueling stop, is around 15 hours and 50 minutes.

T’way Air will use an Airbus A330-300 aircraft, which has 347 seats, for this route. In addition to a regular economy cabin, there are 12 Business Saver seats. Passengers in both Business Saver and Economy classes will receive complimentary in-flight meals twice during the journey.

“We are excited to launch our first European destination, connecting Zagreb and Seoul,” said Hong-Geun Jeong, CEO of T’way Air. “This new service offers travelers an affordable and convenient option, and we believe this route will boost Croatia’s tourism industry and enhance the exchange between two countries.”

T’way Air serves destinations in Japan, China, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Australia. The airline was listed on the Korea Exchange (KRX) in August 2018. In 2022, T’way Air introduced its first long-haul route between Seoul (Incheon) and Sydney, following the addition of the Airbus A330-300 to its fleet.
