Alaska Welcomes Celebrity Cruises Edge Series for the First Time

For the inaugural summer season, the Celebrity Edge, a ship famed for its innovative outward-facing design, is now making its way through the stunning landscapes of Alaska. This remarkable vessel sets sail from Seattle on its first-ever roundtrip voyage, covering a seven-night journey to Dawes Glacier with stops in Juneau, Ketchikan, and Skagway. Its distinctive design promises passengers an unparalleled immersive experience, offering spectacular views of Alaska’s majestic glaciers.

From May to September 2024, passengers aboard the Edge Series ship can savor the stunning Alaskan vistas right from their rooms. The ship features the groundbreaking Magic Carpet® – the world’s first cantilevered, floating platform at sea – which provides a novel space for dining, drinking, and connecting with the surroundings. Additionally, passengers can enjoy the Infinite Veranda® staterooms, where the barrier between interior and exterior melts away, bringing them directly to the water’s edge.

The Celebrity Edge will offer both roundtrip voyages from Seattle and one-way trips between Vancouver and Seattle, encompassing six and seven-night excursions. These journeys feature stops at top Alaskan destinations, offering encounters with local wildlife in Endicott Arm, visits to the “Salmon Capital of the World” in Ketchikan, and explorations of the state capital, Juneau, and historic Skagway, before cruising through the Inside Passage to Victoria and back to Seattle.

Onboard, guests can experience:

• The Grand Plaza, a spectacular three-story space inspired by Italian piazzas, hosting specialty restaurants, the popular Martini Bar, Cafe al Bacio, and the new Grand Plaza Cafe.

Throughout the 2024 summer season, Celebrity Edge, alongside Celebrity Summit® and Celebrity Solstice®, will provide 57 sailings featuring six to seven-night itineraries.
