How get XCoins in XDefiant

Every game with an in-game shop like XDefiant also needs its own form of currency. Typically, there’s more than one to make things even more complicated. XCoins are the name for Ubisoft’s premium currency needed to buy most of the cosmetics, such as skins and animations. Some games allow you to earn small amounts of the premium currency for free, while others only sell it to you in exchange for real cash. You don’t have to pay to start playing, but will you need to start spending money once you do? Let’s dig in and find the answer.

How to get XCoins

XCoins can only be earned in two ways in XDefiant. The first is to simply purchase them with real money. You can buy bundles of the premium currency in the Store tab of the menu by selecting Get More XCoins. These are the bundles currently available:

500 XCoins: $5
1,000 XCoins: $10
2,100 XCoins: $20
5,750 XCoins: $50
12,000 XCoins: $100

As you can see, you don’t start getting a better rate on real dollars to XCoins unless you purchase $20 worth or more.

The only other way you can earn XCoins currently is through the battle pass, although you will need to buy the battle pass for 700 XCoins to begin with. If you manage to get all the XCoin rewards in the battle pass, you will get a total of 700 XCoins, which means it will essentially pay for itself.

Everyone who has played a Pokemon game knows that the most powerful ball is the legendary Master Ball. Most games only provide you with one of these overpowered items that lets you catch any Pokemon you want without a fight, but Pokemon GO didn't include them at all for many years. If you log in today looking to get one for yourself to have ready for when you find that elusive Pokemon you've been struggling to catch, you won't see any signs of how to get one. How to get a Master Ball
As mentioned, Master Balls were first introduced as a special event in which players could complete limited-time research tasks to earn one. After that event ended, it wouldn't be possible to get one again until months later as part of a different special event. The final opportunity occurred in November 2023, but since then there has been no way to earn a Master Ball in Pokemon GO.

As of the time of this writing, there is no ongoing event or research task in which you can earn a Master Ball. The next opportunity will be between May 14 and May 19 as part of the Catching Wonders event, which will be free for all players. As long as you start the Masterwork Research quest during this time period, you can complete it at any time and still earn a Master Ball.

There are ways in which you could play as a solo pirate in Sea of Thieves, but adventuring is so much more fun and rewarding when you're part of a crew. Alliances make it much easier to coordinate and team up with your fellow scallywags, but how you form them and all the benefits they can provide are somewhat obfuscated. How to join or start an alliance

Alliances aren't made in menus, but require you to do some work in-game. Just like real pirates, alliances are determined by what flag you're flying. When you're sailing near a ship you want to partner up with, climb up your crow's nest and interact with the flag box. Go to the Alliances tab and choose the Offer Alliance flag. If the other ship is also flying that flag, you can then change your flag to the Join Alliance flag to fully form the alliance. There is no limit on how many ships can be in an alliance at once in one game.
