An evacuation warning was issued for homes on Santa Fe Knolls Lane, officials said. The warning was lifted around 5:30 p.m.
Around 2:05 p.m., firefighters announced they had stopped the fire’s forward progress. Some crews remained at the scene to handle any potential flare ups.
Firefighters originally reported the blaze had burned about 4 acres. Updated mapping released around 7 p.m. increased that number to 17 acres, Cornette said.
