Vanderlande, a leader in baggage handling systems and a partner in the Airport Lab Network, has secured contracts to equip two Vietnamese airports with state-of-the-art baggage handling technology.
The first project involves supplying a sophisticated BHS (baggage handling system) for the upcoming passenger terminal (T3) at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the busiest airport in Vietnam. This system will integrate the entire baggage journey, from check-in to the make-up area, under a single control system.
The second contract focuses on Long Thanh International Airport (LTIA), a new facility scheduled to open in 2026, located approximately 40km from Ho Chi Minh City. Here too, Vanderlande will deliver a comprehensive BHS solution, ensuring smooth baggage handling from check-in to flight preparation.
Building Trust and Efficiency
Sinan Uzun, LTIA Project Director, emphasized the importance of reliable partners for a complex project like building a new international airport. He expressed his confidence in Vanderlande’s proven track record and their BHS design’s ability to provide an efficient and passenger-friendly experience.
Celebrating Partnership and Innovation
Adam Matheson, Sales Director at Vanderlande, highlighted their delight in signing these agreements during a significant week marking 50 years of strong relations between The Netherlands and Vietnam. He expressed their honor to contribute to a seamless and reliable travel experience for passengers flying to and from both airports.
