Supreme has worked on countless Wallabees over the past five years (16, to be exact), but while we've been blessed with everything from paisley prints to cowboy-coded versions, none of them are as nice and shiny as the latest Supreme x Clarks Wallabee collection. Not even close.
Dropping as part of the New York streetwear label's Summer 2024 line-up, its latest Wallabees come in three color combos, including a black pair, a beige one, and a green-and-red edition. Most Wallabees are dressed in leather or suede (or nubuck if you're lucky). But this range replaces the traditional materials with a glossy patent construction that takes over the entire upper. From the front of the toe all the way to the back of the heel, even the co-branded hang tags are decked out in patent leather.
But don't worry. It's not all change. The classic two eyelet design is intact, and the OG crepe rubber midsole is also making a comeback here. This unit has been a Clarks speciality for decades and decades. And while it wasn't invented by the British footwear company, it was certainly popularized by it, adapting the look for major collabs like the Kith x Clarks x Adidas Gazelle from 2023 and its equally-hyped sequel.
The Supreme x Clarks Wallabee Summer 2023 collection is set to release on May 23 at Supreme. If their previous collabs have taught us anything, these are gonna sell out fast.
