OWINGS MILLS, Md. — In many ways, Tuesday’s Maryland Class 2A girls’ lacrosse championship game felt like the epilogue to Glenelg’s season.

The Gladiators led for all but the first 34 seconds in a 13-3 dismantling of Queen Anne’s, earning their sixth championship but their first since 2018. As is custom for title wins, Glenelg’s players streamed onto the field for a giant group hug when the final buzzer sounded.
