2.68-ct Purplish Pink Diamond Could Fetch $6.4m
May 21, 24(IDEX Online) - A 2.68-carat fancy vivid purplish pink diamond will lead a Christie's Hong Kong sale later this month, where it expected to sell for up to $6.4m.
The GIA-certified internally flawless stone has excellent polish, is cut-cornered rectangular mixed-cut, and is set in a gold ring (pictured) surrounded by white kite-shaped and round diamonds.
The pre-sale estimate is HKD 31.5m to HKD 50m ($4m to $6.4m) and the Magnificent Jewels sale takes place on 27 May.
Among other highlights is a platinum and gold "tutti-frutti" necklace, by Cartier, with carved rubies, emeralds and sapphires, round diamonds, sapphire, ruby and emeralds beads (estimate HKD 28m to HKD 38m, $3.6m to $4.9m).
