Indian Premier League 2024 play-offs

After 70 matches and more than eight weeks the Indian Premier League (IPL) group stage is complete.

Four games remain and four sides are into the play-off and looking to become crowned IPL 2024 champions.

BBC Sport looks at the play-offs and gives you all the numbers behind the race for the orange and purple cap.

    What is the IPL 2024 play-off schedule and format?

    There are four games in the IPL knockouts: Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and the final.

    Qualifier 1 - contested between the top two sides in the group stage - sees the winner through to the final, and the loser gets another chance in Qualifier 2.

    The Eliminator - contested between third and fourth in the group stage - sees the loser knocked out and the winner through to Qualifier 2. The successful team in that game into the final.

    The Qualifier 1 and Eliminator take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad before the Qualifier 2 and final are at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
