Noel Gallagher admits Jurgen Klopp has been good for the Premier League, but he certainly won't miss his Anfield fist-pumps.

Klopp managed Liverpool for the final time on Sunday in a 2-0 win against Wolves at Anfield after nearly nine successful years in charge.

He won eight honours with the Reds, which includes a Premier League title win in the 2019/20 season ahead of City.

Both sides have rivalled each other for the crown throughout Klopp's tenure, with Pep Guardiola's team coming on top on more occasions.

However, City superfan and rock legend Gallagher has admitted that the now former Liverpool boss made a positive impression.

When asked on talkSPORT Drive if he'll miss him as a competitor to City in the Premier League, he replied: "Well, yes.

"I mean, we don't care for that mob over there much but I've got to say he's been... if Guardiola says if it wasn't for him they wouldn't have pushed us, then yes it's been good for us."

Despite this, Gallagher was still on hand to call out the German for his passionate antics at Liverpool, including his iconic fist-pumps towards the Kop End at Anfield after wins.

"He's been good for the league but they've been a bit meh as well," Gallagher added. "You know, all the fist pumping at the Kop End and all that every week, it's just like, 'Whatever'.

"You know, the Batman thing. 'If the city needs me I'll be there', like come on. But let's not forget, he won one Premier League trophy, that's all, just the one.
