Motorcyclist dies in wreck Sunday on Colorado Highway 82

A Carbondale man died after his motorcycle crashed into a vehicle at the intersection of Catherine Store Road and Colorado Highway 82, a Garfield County Coroner’s Office release states.
Marshall Eanes, 23, was traveling westbound on Highway 82 when he struck a vehicle heading eastbound.
“Mr. Eanes was reported to have been wearing a helmet,” the release states. “The coroner’s office does not have further information on the crash investigation and does not know the status of the other driver, passengers of the vehicle or if there were any, or which driver may have been at fault.”
The Colorado State Patrol is investigating and the coroner’s office plans to conduct an autopsy, the release states.
“The cause of death is being investigated as blunt force injuries and the manner of death is being investigated as an accident,” the release states.
