It may not yet be tradition for rain to fall on Saturdays in the District, but it has been damp here for the past several and the latest one was no different. It was also wetter than most earlier May days this year and chillier too.

As of 5 p.m. Saturday’s supply of moisture had arrived in relatively small increments, accumulating over many hours. At times Saturday’s precipitation seemed to fill the air in the form of barely perceptible mist.
