Top companies vie for Vamnicom grads as it secures 100% placement

37 companies made offers; average package was Rs 9.12 lakhs per-annum

In a press release sent to Indian Cooperative, Vamnicom, the prestigious cooperative institution says, “A total of 195 students in the First and Second year programme have completed the Course work during 2023-2024 in the First year programme (96 students – 40 Girls and 56 Boys) and in the Second year programme (99 students – 33 Girls and 66 boys)”.

Vamnicom Director Dr. Hema Yadav announced 100% placements of 30th batch for the Second year students and Summer Internship of First year Students of 31st Batch stating that our programme enables students to imbibe Managerial Knowledge and Skills to spearhead the Agri Business and Cooperative sector.

The prestigious cooperative institution- Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM) offers a two years full time residential Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Agribusiness Management programme.

The PGDM-ABM programme is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi and recognized by Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to MBA degree.

Hema said “We have seen students opting for the Cooperative sector owing to multiple initiatives of the Ministry of Cooperation.  To make the sector vibrant, the youth has shown keen interest in Cooperatives. These students are equipped with not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills and industry-relevant competencies that make them valuable assets to Industry”, she further said.

The batch of 2022-24 consisting of 99 Students (33 Girls and 66 boys) from 14 different states from 39 Universities across 9 different Agriculture and Agri-Allied streams has completed its track record of 100% placements since its inception of 1st batch in 1993.

The placement process witnessed an array of opportunities across diverse sectors, including Agri-Input, Cooperative, Rural Development, Agri-tech, Banking and Micro-Finance, Consultancy, Commodities and Research, Retail and E-Commerce.

Dr D Ravi, Joint Programme Director informed that the Institute’s strong industry partnerships and robust engagement initiatives and support of Ministry of Cooperation played a pivotal role in facilitating relevant placements for students in Co-operative sector in organisations like AMUL (GCMMF), NAFED, IFFCO-Tokio, NCCF and NCDFI.

Further renowned companies from various domains extended offers to VAMNICOM graduates, including ADM, LDC in Commodities, ICICI Bank Ltd, IDBI Bank Ltd, RBL Bank Ltd in Banking, Navadhan Capital, SMFG, SarvaGram Fincare, ESAF Small Finance Bank, BFIL in Micro-finance, Tata Rallis, DCM Shriram, Dhanuka, Deepak Fertilizers in Input Sector, with other industry giants like BigBasket, Biostadt, Q & Q Research, Escorts Kubota affirming their competencies and skills in various business domains.

Dr R. Jayalakshmi, Placement Director informed that 37 companies made offers for placement with the average package of Rs. 9.12 lakhs per-annum.

The 96 students (40 Girls and 56 Boys) of PGDM-ABM 2023-2025 Batch have joined Summer Internship in 36 Organizations.
