A large group of neighbours stood behind the garda cordon, stunned into silence by the sheer horror of what had just happened in front of their eyes in the small Dublin housing estate.

It was the early hours of September 4, 2022, and Andy Cash had just dangled the body of his eight-year-old half-brother out of an upstairs bedroom window in the family home on Rossfield Avenue, Tallaght.
