Woman charged after man injured during early-hours assault in Dublin

A woman in her 30s has been charged in relation to an alleged assault which left a man injured in Dublin overnight.

The man in his 30s was taken to the Mater Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two people, a woman (30s) and a male juvenile in his teens, were arrested as part of this investigation.

The male juvenile has since been released pending referral to the Youth Diversion Programme.

The woman has been charged and will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice, Dublin, Court 1, at 10:30am on Monday 20th May 2024.

Investigations into the incident that occurred at approximately 3.10am this morning on Cathedral Street Dublin 1 are ongoing, a garda spokesperson confirmed.
