CDOT road work schedule in Steamboat Springs released for week of May 13

This week’s road work schedule from the Colorado Department of Transportation on U.S. Highway 40 in Steamboat Springs along Lincoln Avenue has been released.

On Tuesday, there will be single-lane and parking shoulder closures between 3rd and 5th streets, and single-lane and median closures between 11th and 13th streets.

Single-lane and median closures between 11th and 13th streets will be in effect Wednesday, along with single-lane and median closures on 9th and 11th streets.



On Friday, lane closures will be in effect between 7th and 9th streets.

The CDOT work is aiming to improve the durability of the downtown Steamboat roadway, along with enhancing accessibility mandated under the U.S. Americans with Disability Act.



According to CDOT, Work will primarily include concrete pavement panel replacement, ADA pedestrian ramps, and sidewalk improvements. Work will be done in both the eastbound and westbound directions on U.S. 40 from 3rd Street to 13th Street.

The three-month project began April 3 and is being performed on U.S. 40 between mile points 130.5 and 133.5.
