Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 35.73 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 26.05 crore), Zomato(numbers of share traded: 11.41 crore), IDFC First Bank(numbers of share traded: 6.69 crore), NHPC(numbers of share traded: 6.28 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 6.05 crore), Tata Motors(numbers of share traded: 5.90 crore), Bank of India(numbers of share traded: 5.73 crore), Piramal Pharma(numbers of share traded: 5.47 crore) and PNB(numbers of share traded: 4.19 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday's market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 48.85 points up at 22104.05, while BSE Sensex ended up 111.66 points at 72776.13.
On the other hand, Tata Motors Ltd.(down 8.31 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.90 per cent), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 1.82 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.30 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.24 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
