No surprises in uncontested Sunderland races

SUNDERLAND — With no contested races, there were no surprises in Sunderland’s annual town election on Saturday, as everyone on the ballot was elected to their positions.

Of the 2,493 registered voters, 301, or roughly 12.1% of voters, cast their ballots at the Sunderland Public Library.

The results are as follows:

■Moderator, one-year term — David Pierce, incumbent, 278 votes.

■Selectboard, three-year term — Christyl Drake-Tremblay, incumbent, 281 votes.

■Board of Assessors, three-year term — Michael Skibiski Jr., incumbent, 285 votes.

■Board of Health, three-year term — Kenneth Kushi, incumbent, 284 votes.

■Sunderland Elementary School Committee, two seats with three-year terms — Meghan Arquin, incumbent, 266 votes, and Louai Abu-Osba, caucus nominee, 250 votes. Kara Gorey, 24 write-in votes.

■Riverside Cemetery trustee, three-year term — Scott Bergeron, incumbent, 279 votes.

■Planning Board, five-year term — Douglas Fulton, incumbent, 277 votes.

■Sunderland Public Library trustees, three seats with three-year terms — Hollis Graves, 282 votes, Emily Pettit, 281 votes, and Lorin Starr, 282 votes, all incumbents.
