Every Memorial Day weekend, the Middlesex County Rotary Club aims to honor in a big way service members who died for their country — the club displays 150 American flags near the intersection of General Puller Highway and Twiggs Ferry Road in Hartfield.

Sponsor and fly a flag or flags honoring your hero or heroes, from Tuesday, May 21 through Monday, May 27. Each flag will feature a name plaque on the pole with a sponsor and hero name. Then at a later date, the heroes’ and sponsors’ names will be listed in ad in the Southside Sentinel. You can save this ad as a special keepsake and reminder of your hero and your sponsorship.
Eighty dollars sponsors a flag for this Memorial Day and Veterans Day in November. Fifty dollars sponsors a flag for just this Memorial Day.
Come see all 150 Flags flying in the breeze and sponsor flag or flags for your hero or heroes. For information, visit MiddlesexFlags.org or stop by the booth at Deltaville Maritime Museum’s Holly Point Market on May 17 or 18 or at the display itself between May 21 and 27.
Proceeds benefit Middlesex Rotary Charitable Foundation Inc., a c501(C)(3) organization, and are used only for the benefit of Middlesex County residents and organizations.
