Sunny and warm for Mother's Day weekend

There's a chance to see the northern lights again Saturday night into Sunday morning

PORTLAND, Oregon — Mother’s Day is going to  be a spectacular one with nothing but sunshine from beginning to end. It might not be as warm as we have  been seeing the last couple of days, but daytime highs are still going to be above average with many locations running in the upper 70s to the low 80s.

There’s a chance for some light pockets of drizzle Monday, but much of the work week is going to be sunny, dry and nice.

If you missed last night's chance at seeing the northern lights, you're in luck again, one of the strongest geomagnetic storms we've seen in nearly 20 years will be putting on a show Saturday night. Best chance at seeing them, look north after midnight, and try to get away from the city lights.

Enjoy your weekend,
